Chad graduated in 1997 from Greensburg, Indiana, and immediately enlisted in the Army. After completing basic training, he served in the Army Reserves, leading a transient lifestyle. Upon returning, he worked in a factory but soon realized that he wanted more and felt unfulfilled. This desire for change led him to Cincinnati, where he became a dancer and signed with modeling agencies. His journey continued as he traveled across the U.S. to places like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Texas, until the pressures of the party lifestyle caught up with him in 2009.
It was at a biker church where he found Christ, and soon after, he was baptized and began a new chapter in life. Seeking a fresh start, he enrolled in Paul Mitchell Hair School, but without a strong support system and earning minimum wage, he struggled to build his clientele. Unfortunately, he faced eviction and found himself homeless during a particularly difficult time in his life.
Through prayer and reflection, Chad envisioned a new path: combining his love for motorcycles and his background in entertainment. He had previously learned to eat fire and decided to integrate this skill into a new venture, creating a biker-themed Rock & Roll fire show. He booked events at motorcycle rallies nationwide and was featured on TruTV’s Full Throttle Saloon, Easy Rider’s Magazine, and went viral with a fire-related stunt involving a flamethrower and a hornet’s nest. In 2014, he met his wife, Heather, at Ohio Bike Week. Together, they expanded the fire show into a full production, and the couple eventually relocated to Florida and then Nashville, Tennessee.
In 2020, seeking stability and a future for their growing family, they moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where they purchased their first home and he was hired by the fire department. However, just weeks after completing EMT training, the COVID-19 pandemic hit, forcing the fire department academy to extend its program and later eliminating available positions. Chad and his fellow graduates were placed in EMT positions with minimal pay.
The following day, Heather shared the news that they were expecting their first child, prompting the couple to return to Indiana to raise their family close to friends and family. Despite being too old to pursue a firefighting career in Indiana, they decided to start his own demolition business. Though successful, the physical toll of the work was challenging. Once again, Chad found himself praying for direction, when he had a breakthrough moment. While watching his young daughters scoop up their puppy’s waste with plastic toy shovels and toss it out , he was inspired. The idea of creating a dog waste removal service seemed like the perfect fit.
Drawing from his military background, Poo Scoopin' Troops, a pet waste removal service, with his two Australian Shepherds serving as the cartoon mascots. The business, which combined his love for animals and his entrepreneurial spirit, was born from a simple yet profound observation, and it has since become a passion project.
